TitleTheoretical Concepts of X-Ray Nanoscale Analysis : Theory and Applications
Author(s)Benediktovich, Andrei;Feranchuk, Ilya;Ulyanenkov, Alexander
PublicationBerlin, Heidelberg, Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2014.
DescriptionXIII, 318 p. 108 illus., 37 illus. in color : online resource
Abstract NoteThis book provides a concise survey of modern theoretical concepts of X-ray materials analysis. The principle features of the book are: basics of X-ray scattering, interaction between X-rays and matter and new theoretical concepts of X-ray scattering. The various X-ray techniques are considered in detail: high-resolution X-ray diffraction, X-ray reflectivity, grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering and X-ray residual stress analysis. All the theoretical methods presented use the unified physical approach. This makes the book especially useful for readers learning and performing data analysis with different techniques. The theory is applicable to studies of bulk materials of all kinds, including single crystals and polycrystals as well as to surface studies under grazing incidence. The book appeals to researchers and graduate students alike

TitleNon-perturbative Description of Quantum Systems
Author(s)Feranchuk, Ilya;Ivanov, Alexey;Le, Van-Hoang;Ulyanenkov, Alexander
PublicationCham, Springer International Publishing, 2015.
DescriptionXV, 362 p. 63 illus., 43 illus. in color : online resource
Abstract NoteThis book??introduces systematically the operator method for the solution of the Schr??dinger equation.??This method permits to describe the states of quantum systems in the entire range of parameters of Hamiltonian with a predefined accuracy. The operator method is unique compared??with other non-perturbative methods due to its ability to deliver in zeroth approximation the uniformly suitable estimate for both ground and excited states of quantum system. The method has been generalized for the application to quantum statistics and quantum field theory.?? In this book, the numerous applications of operator method for various physical systems are demonstrated. Simple models are used to illustrate the basic principles of the method which are further used for the solution of complex problems of quantum theory for many-particle systems. The results obtained are supplemented by numerical calculations, presented as tables and figures
