TitleIntroduction to Neutrino and Particle Physics : From Quantum Field Theory to the Standard Model and Beyond
Author(s)Ricciardi, Giulia
PublicationCham, 1. Imprint: Springer 2. Springer International Publishing, 2024.
DescriptionX, 418 p. 44 illus : online resource
Abstract NoteThis textbook offers a clear and concise introduction to the main aspects of neutrino physics, providing the foundational knowledge necessary for research in both theoretical and experimental fields. It presents field theory concepts in a highly self-contained manner and explains the main experimental techniques and phenomenological aspects of neutrino and particle physics with clarity and scientific rigor. Specialized jargon and traditionally ambiguous concepts are carefully explained. The book???s didactic style focuses on a selected number of key topics, enriched with numerous figures and examples. Significant recent advancements in theory and experiments are described within their physical context, avoiding technical details likely to become outdated soon. This book will be invaluable not only for students of particle physics but also as a concise reference for researchers in other fields seeking an up-to-date understanding of essential concepts in neutrino physics.

Title8th Workshop on Theory, Phenomenology and Experiments in Flavour Physics : Neutrinos, Flavor Physics and Beyond (FP@Capri2022)
Author(s)Ricciardi, Giulia;De Nardo, Guglielmo;Merola, Mario
PublicationCham, 1. Imprint: Springer 2. Springer International Publishing, 2023.
DescriptionXVI, 167 p. 71 illus., 66 illus. in color : online resource
Abstract NoteThis book is a collection of invited contributions presented at the 8th edition of the International Workshop on Theory, Phenomenology and Experiments in Flavour Physics, held on the Island of Capri, Italy, on 11???13 June 2022. It is a joint workshop between experimentalists and theoreticians aiming at debating recent results and hot topics in flavour physics, in an interdisciplinary effort. Flavour, electroweak physics and neutrino physics are all foremost in the assessment of results within the standard model and search for physics beyond. Anomalies in flavour physics are hints on new physics, while with neutrino masses and oscillations the new physics has already started. Contributions deal mainly with the flavour anomalies, the flavour problem from leptons to quarks and back, including continuous versus discrete symmetries, and the connections between the Higgs sector and neutrinos, embracing see-saw models and Higgs potential analyses. Focus is on neutrinos, athigh and low scales, including LHC searches and CLVF, leptogenesis, connections with dark sectors and NP mediators, non-standard neutrino interactions and the problem of the nature of massive neutrinos
