TitleIntroduction to signal processing, instrumentation, and control: An Integrative Approach
Author(s)Joseph Bentsman
PublicationNew Jersey, World Scientific Publishing Co. Pvt. Ltd., 2016.
Descriptionxvii, 753p.
Abstract NoteThis book stems from a unique and highly effective approach in introducing signal processing, instrumentation, diagnostics, filtering, control, and system integration. It presents the interactive industrial grade software testbed of mold oscillator that captures the mold motion distortion induced by coupling of the electro-hydraulic actuator nonlinearity with the resonance of the mold oscillator beam assembly. The testbed is then employed as a virtual lab to generate input-output data records that permit unraveling and refining complex behavior of the actual production system through merging dynamics, signal processing, instrumentation, and control into a coherent problem-solving package.

TitleSignal theoretic introduction to random processess
Author(s)Roy M. Howard
PublicationNew Jersey, John Wiley and Sons, 2016.
Descriptionxiv, 725p.
Abstract NoteBook presents a unique introduction to random processes with an emphasis on the important random phenomena encountered in the electronic and communications engineering field. The strong mathematical and signal theory basis provides clarity and precision in the statement of results. A Signal Theoretic Introduction to Random Processes is a useful textbook for upper-undergraduate and graduate-level courses in applied mathematics as well as electrical and communications engineering departments. The book is also an excellent reference for research engineers and scientists who need to characterize random phenomena in their research.

TitleMathematical methods in signal processing and digital image analysis
Author(s)R. Dahlhaus ... (ed.)
PublicationBerlin, Springer, 2008.
Description1 online resource (xiv, 292 p.) : ill. (some col.)
Abstract Note"The aim of this volume is to bring together research directions in theoretical signal and imaging processing developed rather independently in electrical engineering, theoretical physics, mathematics and the computer sciences. In particular, mathematically justified algorithms and methods, the mathematical analysis of these algorithms, and methods as well as the investigation of connections between methods from time series analysis and image processing are reviewed. An interdisciplinary comparison of these methods, drawing upon common sets of test problems from medicine and geophysical/environmental sciences, is also addressed."--Jacket
